Madhura Naik to play Sri lankan Queen's role in Tenali Rama

Sunday, 13 May 2018 | Staff Reporter | Bhopal

The young and talented television actress Madhura Naik will be seen as Sri lankan Queen in popular show Tenali Rama. The actress, who hails from Indore, is really excited to be a part of the show.

Talking to The Pioneer, she shared about the show and her role as Queen MoonMoon. Madhura Naik is usually seen in grey shades on Indian television and is known for her roles on Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon Season1 and Pyar Ki Ye Ek Kahani. This is the first time when audience will see her in an entirely different character which has a touch of comedy as well.

In the show, Queen MoonMoon will be visiting Raja Krishnadevraya along with her husband King Dharampal. The King loves his wife, the Queen, very much and can go to any extent to fulfill her wishes. Queen Moonmoon on the other hand is a very beautiful and talented Queen. But due to the King’s overprotective nature, she is unable to explore her talents and all her ambitions and desires are hidden within her.

Adding to everyone’s dilemma is that Queen Moomoon suffers from multiple personality disorder due to which she takes on different avatars and it is also one of the reasons why the King doesn’t let her do anything. When she comes to Vijaynagar, King Dharampal keeps her in the safe hospitality of Krishnadevraya and heads to visit the sacred Tirupati temple. While he is away, Queen Moonmoon’s different personalities get triggered which funnily makes her take on strange and different avatars.

Talking about her entry as Queen MoonMoon in Tenali Rama, Madhura Naik said, “I am very excited to play the role of Sri lankan queen in the show and being part of a popular show like Tenali Rama. It is an interesting character, who has memory issues and she keeps forgetting her identity. The character will allow me to do comedy which I have been wanting to explore for a very long time and the audience will be able to see different shades in my character throughout the show.”
