BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Mahesh Poddar while representing the party at BRICS Political Parties Plus Dialogue batted strongly for tapping opportunities as well as developing ideas to handle challenges of the fourth industrial revolution. Expressing his views during the group discussion over the fourth industrial revolution at Pretoria of South Africa Poddar said that developing countries would have to develop understanding to take complete advantage of it. The Rajya Sabha MP stressed that the Governments should know what kind of opportunities the technological changes are presenting in front of them.
Poddar while introducing the subject to the audience and others also talked extensively about desired infrastructure in order to take benefits of advancements coming up every day.
He also said about the role of future Governments, relationships among citizens, companies and other organisations and their effects along with instability in labour market, disparity in wealth distribution and social harmony.
“The Governments also need to think how technology is affecting our lives. There is a need develop a common attitude about economic, social and cultural environment in a wider and global perspective,” said Poddar.
There were four topics- multi polar relations and interests, inclusive economic development, fourth industrial revolution and peace and stability- set for today’s dialogue.
