Man attacked with sharp-edged weapon near Panchyati Masjid

Fuelled by old enmity, a 29-year old man was attacked with a sharp-edged weapon by two armed miscreants near Panchyati Masjid under Talaiya  police station area on Wednesday.

According to the police, a man was attacked by two persons and was rushed to a nearby hospital where his condition is reportedly stable.

Police were informed and on the receipt of the information a team reached the spot and after preliminary investigation registered a case against the accused.

The victim was identified as Mohammad Anas while the two accused were identified as Gufran and Farhan.

Victim in his complaint stated that the two tried to extort Rs 10000 and when he refused they attacked with sharp edged weapon.

During the investigation, it was found that the Mohammad Anas had a fight with his neighbours in the past.

After the fight accused left the spot and decided to teach a lesson to victim. On Wednesday the accused got the opportunity when he found the victim was alone in his vicinity and passing near their colony and attacked him in the left side in chest and escaped the spot.

Police have started searching for the details of the accused as in the initial investigation the victim and his family were not able to provide details of the accused and their whereabouts.

The police have registered a case under sections 294, 307 and 34 of the IPC and have started search for the miscreants.

The two accused do not hold any criminal record. The victim works at vegetable market.
