Manoj Tiwari: Electing BJP to local bodies will boost development

Thursday, 15 November 2018 | PNS | Dehradun

The BJP Delhi chief and MP Manoj Tiwari said that elected the BJP candidates in the urban local bodies will further boost developmental works. Talking to media persons at the BJP state office here on Wednesday during his campaign visit, Tiwari said that local body elections are important.

Electing the BJP candidates to local bodies will enhance local body coordination with the BJP state government and boost development works. Just like the BJP was victorious in the Vidhan Sabha elections, it will emerge victorious in the local body elections.

Referring to the Congress, he said that the people had in the past given Harish Rawat an opportunity to serve the public but he had failed.

In Uttarakhand, the state government and party organisation are doing good work under the leadership of chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and party state chief Ajay Bhatt respectively, he said.

Speaking on other issues, he said that the statement made by the Dassault Aviation chief executive officer in the Rafale matter is a befitting reply to allegations being levelled by Congress national president Rahul Gandhi. He further said that on the occasion of Chhath, he stood by his statement wherein he had suggested that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi should pray to the Ganga as that brings good sense.

Later, Tiwari addressed public gatherings to elicit support for BJP candidates including Dehradun mayoral candidate Sunil Uniyal ‘Gama’.
