Aam Aadmi Party State general secretary Nandalal Singh, spokesperson Bharadwaj Mishra, youth president Subrat Chhatoia, student president Jyoti Ranjan Mohanty and Balangir district coordinator Ajay Das along with about 200 party workers joined the BJD here on Wednesday.
BJD supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik welcoming the leaders to the party said their joining would enhance the strength of the BJD further. He called upon the new comers to work to ensure that good governance reaches people.
Mishra said about 70,000 AAP workers at the grassroots level would work for the BJD during the 2019 elections and help Naveen Patnaik to become the Chief Minister for the fifth time.
Among others, Minister Surjya Narayan Patrao and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Ananta Narayan Jena were present.
