As host of newly elected legislators in the Congress party have past experience in administration as they had already served as ministers in erstwhile governments which testifies that the new State Cabinet would be an experienced lot.
Apart from contenders of Chief Ministerial post namely Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) Chief Bhupesh Baghel, Senior Congress leader T.S. Singhdeo, National President of OBC Wing and Congress Working Committee (CWC) Member Tamradhwaj Sahu, and Charandas Mahant other prominent faces are likely to be in the State Cabinet including former Minister Satyanarayan Sharma, former Leader of Opposition Ravindra Chaubey, former CGPCC Chief Dhanendra Sahu, AICC member and senior Congress leader Mohammed Akbar, former Minister Amitesh Shukla, Former Minister Manoj Mandavi and former Chairman of Youth Commission, Arun Vora.
The possible name for the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the state assembly could also be Satyanarayan Sharma who has secured victory for seventh time in a row and Ravindra Chaubey respectively.
Some fresh faces might also get inducted in the new State Cabinet. It includes Vikas Upadhyay who got the state assembly berth by defeating Rajesh Munat. Similarly Shailesh Pandey and Shakuntala Sahu are also likely to be rewarded as they had defeated minister Amar Agrawal and Speaker of Chhattisgarh state assembly, Gaurishankar Agrawal respectively.
As the ministerial berths are limited the plum posts in boards and corporations are also there to appease the remaining leaders who could not be inducted as a minister. The possible names for them could be Shiv Kumar Daharia, Amarjeet Bhagat and Rudra Guru.
