Nimiaghat police on Wednesday nabbed a member of a gang involved in several cases of motorcycle loot, mainly in and around the Nimiaghat and Bokaro Thermal areas. Police also recovered 19 looted motorcycles from the possession of the arrested persons. Identified as Asraful Ansari, the criminal was arrested from Bokaro Thermal area of same police station, said Officer in-Charge Shashi Ranjan Kumar. Ansari has accepted his involvement around two dozen cases of motorcycles loot including different companies motorcycles with bearing different registration.
Police said that the local police are also looking for more members of the gang whose names have listed up during his interrogation.
Few such cases have been witnessed, in which the vehicle lifters had lifted from local market in the presence of the owners .The such case of motorbike lifting have been registered in two different police station of the district last six months.
