MP ‘Niramayam’ Yojana to begin from today

Ayushman Bharat-Madhya Pradesh ‘Niramayam’ Yojana will be started from September 23 in Madhya Pradesh. Under the scheme cashless medical facility up to Rs 5 lakhs will be made available to 1.37 crore people of the State. This number will increase with the increase in number of beneficiaries of Sambal Yojana.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be the chief guest and Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawarchand Gehlot will preside over the State-level ceremony to be inaugurated at 11 am at Vidhan Sabha Bhavan. Revenue Minister Umashankar Gupta, MP Alok Sanjar and Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh will be special guests on the occasion.

Those marked in the Socio Economic and Caste-based Census under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana can avail the benefits of the scheme. Besides, Samagra and Sambal beneficiaries in Madhya Pradesh will be able to avail the benefits of the scheme. Nearly all illnesses have been included in the scheme. Patients of nearly 1400 illnesses will be treated as per fixed package.

Health Security cover is cashless in which the Government makes direct payment to the hospital where the patient is undergoing treatment.

A ten-day follow-up after the treatment is also included in the package. About 250 private and Government hospitals of the State have been identified under the scheme. Additional allowance will be paid to doctors and para-medical staff working in the scheme.

‘Ayushman Mitra’ are being appointed in marked hospitals for the convenience of citizens, who will help the patients and their families to complete the process and paperwork expeditiously. Ayushman Bharat Kiosks have also been set up in these hospitals. Beneficiaries can check the information of eligibility at www.ayushmanbharat.mp.gov.in and https://mera.pmjay.gov.in/.

Implementation committees have been constituted in all districts of the State for smooth implementation of the Yojana headed by the Collector. Chief Executive Officer has been made the Vice-President, District Malaria Officer will be Nodal Officer and District Programme Coordinator, Manager District Information System, Manager District Public Grievances Redressal will be members.

Health and Wellness Centre is being set up in the State through National Health Mission. These centres are being set up in villages and primary health centres. Counseling by specialists in tele medicine system apart from basic health services and facilities will be provided at the centres. People will be counseled on healthy lifestyle through AYUSH method and Yoga at the centres. These centres named Madhya Pradesh Arogyam are being set up in the state under Pradhan Manri Jan Arogya Yojana.
