The players of Madhya Pradesh State Athletics Academy while exhibiting a brilliant performance at 30th West Zone Athletics Championship, won 41 medals including 25 gold, 10 silver and 6 bronze medals.
The players of Madhya Pradesh Athletics Academy played wonderfully at the 30th West Zone Athletics Championship. The championship was played at Raipur on October 17 and 18. All the players are extremely happy on their performance as with their hardwork and better strategy they brought laurels to the State.
At the state level championship, Madhya Pradesh has won a total of 41 medals including 25 gold medals, 10 silver and six bronze medals in various events played under the championship. It is to be noted that at the championship more than 400 players from six different states of the country participated and displayed their talent. On the first day of the championship, players of the Madhya Pradesh State Athletics Academy won 18 medals including 13 gold medals, three silver medals and two bronze medals. Whereas on the second and the final day, the players of the State academy won 23 medals including 12 gold medals, seven silver medals and four bronze medals.
On this achievement by the athletics academy players, Director Sports and Youth Welfare SL Thoussen expressed his happiness. He congratulated the medal winners while appreciating the spectacular performance of the players in the championship.
