'Mukhya Mantri Jan-Kalyan' Yojana gets implemented

To provide free higher education to the children of registered unorganised workers/labourers, the ‘Mukhya Mantri Jan-Kalyan’ (Shiksha Protsahan) Yojana has been implemented in the State from the academic session 2018-19. Registration in the labour Department is mandatory for parents to avail benefit of the scheme. The students must get registered in the State Government scholarship portal scholarshipportal.mp.nic.in.

The application has to be submitted on the portal through user id and password only. The printout of the complete filled application form has to be presented in the concerned educational institution along with the necessary documents. Students receiving training at Global Skill Park will also get benefit of this scheme.

Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Technical Education Deepak Joshi has informed that under the scheme, Government will pay the entire fees of students, who secure rank up to Rs 1.50 lakh in JEE Mains and take admission in Government Engineering College and Rs 1.50 lakh or actual tuition fee whichever is less, who take admission in Government aided private engineering colleges.

For Medical Education, the candidates who take admission to pursue MBBS course in private medical college in Madhya Pradesh or MBBS/ BDS course in Central or State Government Medical/Dental College through NEET entrance examination and those who get admission in MBBS course in the institutions of the Government of India, which conduct their own examinations will be eligible under the scheme. Students pursuing law will get the benefits of the scheme for admission in National law Universities and Delhi University through examinations conducted by ClAT or by itself.

Students will get benefits on taking admission in Graduate and Integrated Post-graduation Programme and Dual Degree Course run in all universities/ institutions of the State Government and Central Government, all graduate courses run by Government and Government-aided colleges and universities of the State Government, all diploma courses in Polytechnic Colleges, ITIs (including Global Skill Park) and on taking admission in diploma, degree and certificate courses of Paramedical Science run under medical college or under Government Medical Colleges.
