A Hindi play ‘Sankraman’ showcasing the complex relationship of a father and a son was staged here on Friday at Madhya Pradesh State Tribal Museum.

The play was performed under regular series of theatre performances Abhinayan organized every Friday at tribal museum. The play was directed by eminent and veteran actor Ahmad Khan. The play was brilliantly performed by the artists of Nazar Group.

The play begins with introducing a middle class family. The father is the family’s head and makes decisions of the family. However, things started to change when his son grows up. Whatever decisions the father makes, the son used to disagree with him.

The relationship of the father and the son becomes really complex. It was becoming really hard for both of them to take mutual decisions and agree with each other. The relationship does not get smoothen till one day, his father died.

After the death of his father the son starts taking all the decisions of his family. After few days passes by, his family starts to believe that the son has begun behaving like his father. The son was not ready to listen to anybody and takes his own decisions. He never agrees with the view points of other family members.

This proves that he has also become like his father. Therefore, the drama ends with this. In this play, inspiration has been given through a middle class family to keep positive thinking and be confident. During the theatrical presentation, the audience feel connected and this made the play worthwhile watching.
