The Prime Minister of Nepal, KP Sharma Oli is slated to arrive at Pantnagar on April 8. He will be arriving here to receive an honourary doctorate being conferred on him by the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology.
During his visit to Pantnagar, the Nepali prime minister is also scheduled to view aspects of seed production, organic cultivation and integrated agricultural system at the university. The state’s chief secretary Utpal Kumar Singh held a meeting at the secretariat here on Monday to review preparations for the visit of the Nepali prime minister. Addressing the officials, the chief secretary instructed them to ensure that all arrangements including reception, transport, power availability, road, medical, cavalcade plan, dais plan and security are up to the mark during the visit of the Nepalese PM.
The meeting was attended by the director general of police Anil Kumar Raturi, principal secretary, Home, Anand Wardhan, secretary to governor, Ravinath Raman, Information secretary Pankaj Kumar Pandey and Kumaon commissioner Chandrashekhar Bhatt among others.
