Night patrolling staffer saves injured person in Govindpuri

Night patrolling staff saved a life of a 38 year-old man who was found lying injured in Govindpuri area of Delhi. The police have also arrested a man who attempted to murder him.

“Our night patrolling team on 6 October at about 11 pm reached near Pocket 4, Kalkaji Extension when they saw one person lying behind parked cars in an isolated dark spot. The person identified as Jayant Haldar was semi-conscious and severely bleeding, having injuries on his neck and head following which he was immediately rushed to the AIIMS for treatment,” said Chinmoy Biswal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), South east district.

“On the way to hospital, the injured informed police in dizzy state, that Kabir had assaulted him. The doctors in the hospital stated that if there would have been delay of five more minutes, then it would have been difficult to save the life of the injured. During investigation, police team collected a broken bottle of alcohol from the spot having blood stains on it. Crime team was also called on spot, who inspected the crime scene and finger prints on alcohol bottle were lifted. Finally going through voter list, one person with the name Kabir living in the area was shortlisted,” said the DCP.
