There is no anti-incumbency factor existing in the Assembly polls and people are actually seeing the work done on ground level by the
BJP Government in Chhattisgarh, says senior BJP leader and State Minister for Water Resources Brijmohan Agrawal.
“The Congress party has nothing to show before the people of the State. The people can see the difference of around 60 years of rule under Congress and now under the BJP rule,” Agrawal said.
The BJP is targetting its fourth victory in Chhattisgarh to form the next Government in the State while taking ahead the target of party's National President Amit Shah's aim of 65 plus seats. Everybody in the party is striving hard to achieve the target , he said.
“During the last 15 years of BJP Government in the State, all-round developmental works have been undertaken. The party is going before the people with same agenda of overall development.”
On allurements to farmers by Congress and other parties, Agrawal said, “It is the BJP which has made a systematic procurement of paddy from farmers.
Aligning with technology, changes have been incorporated to ensure that all the payments go directly in bank account of farmers.
The other agricultural benefits include interest-free loans, distribution of soil health card, irrigation facilities through both conventional and renewable energy sources which can be gauged from the level of 70,000 pumps installed earlier to more than 4 lakh pumps at present with flat power tariff for irrigation pumps.”
Besides this, procurement prices of food grains and pulses have been hiked by the BJP government at the Centre.
The State Government is providing bonus on paddy also, he added.
As youngest MLA and also youngest Minister from Raipur to present position, he jokingly said, “I have the same confidence and zeal while jumping into the poll fray as a young man. Serving the people generates the energy within to continue with same zeal.”
