Chief Electoral Officer VL Kantha Rao has informed that since the model code of conduct has come into effect, 37,181 non-bailable warrants have been issued from October 6 to November 11, 2018 to ensure law and order in the state.
A total of 3,733 illegal firearms have been confiscated and 2,60,118 firearms have been deposited in the police stations during this period.
Under the property defacement, total 17,38,539 cases have been registered and action has been taken against 16,84,973 cases.
A total of 13,11,538 cases of government property defacement have been registered and action has been taken in 12,77,896 cases. Similarly, 4,27,001 cases of private property defacement have been registered and action has been taken against 4,07,077 cases. Besides, 11,475 cases of misuse of vehicles have been registered during this period.
