Following Haryana and Himachal Pradesh, petroleum products would be cheaper in the Union Territory of Chandigarh also with the Administration deciding to reduce VAT on petrol and diesel.
With this notification, the sale price of petrol and diesel will come down by Rs.1.50 per liter. However, as the central government has already reduced the rate on petrol and diesel of Rs.2.50 per liter, the benefit to the consumer is of Rs.4.00 per liter on petrol and diesel.
