Despite the ban imposed on carrying smartphones and other electronic gadgets inside major temples of the State, pictures of the temples’ interiors are going viral on the social media at regular intervals, triggering resentment among the devotees.
The pictures of Shreemandir and SatyabadiSakhigopal temple in Puri and Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar have again gone viral on the social media.
Reports said a tourist from Gujarat has uploaded pictures on social media taken inside the premises of the Puri Jagannath Temple and the LingarajTemple in Bhubaneswar. An employee of RadhadamodhanIskon temple in Gujarat, Tejas Sailor, uploaded the pictures of the temples on his Facebook page. The pictures are now doing rounds in the social media platform.
Similarly, a youth identified as Basudev Swain on Monday posted a series of pictures, clicked inside the Sakhigopal temple’s sanctum sanctorum, on his Facebook status.
The pictures posted by Swain are of the temple’s presiding deity Lord Gopalajiu sitting in the RatnaSinghasan in NatabaraBesha and the RatnaSinghasan.
Meanwhile, the Sakhigopal temple management has lodged an FIR with police and investigation into the matter is on.
