Chhola Mandir police have booked a 23-year-old youth for sexually assaulting a 20-year old girl near Nehru Nagar in the month of September this year; a complaint was lodged on Tuesday.
Police said that the accused identified as Abhisek Rajput was booked after the victim lodged complaint against the accused of sexual assault with the help of two of his friends.
The victim in her complaint stated that she met the accused near her uncle’s house at Narsinghpur where she became acquainted with her. On September 25 when the victim was on her way to beauty parlour where she works the accused came in a jeep and offered her a ride and during which he offered water which was laced with sedatives. She was then later taken to Nehru Nagar temple where accused married her and took her to a room where she was sexually assaulted. The accused before leaving threatened her of life and not to report incident.
Police said that the victim kept mum and recently when her marriage was fixed the accused came and intervened after which the victim provided information to the family members and a complaint was lodged with the police.
After the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 366, 376 and 506 of the IPC and started search for the accused. The two accomplices who helped the accused in committing crime would be searched. Police have started search for the accused who lives in Narsinghpur and works with a private firm.
