Police Memorial Day: Chief Secy pays tribute to martyrs

I  admire and respect brave martyrs who laid their lives while delivering their duties, express gratitude and assure that police and society are with the families of the martyrs”, said Chief Secretary BP Singh at the Police Memorial Day on October 21 at Martyrs Memorial in Lal Parade.

On the occasion of Police Memorial Day, Chief Secretary BP Singh joined the program organized at Shaheed Memorial Ground, Lal Parade and paid tribute to the brave martyrs. Director General of Police VK Singh, Principal Secretary Malay Shrivastava were present.

Director General of Police VK Singh paid tribute to martyrs who laid their lives on October 21, 1959 Ladakh and paid floral tributes to the martyrs of the state police who laid their lives in the past one year. In the time of grief Madhya Pradesh police it with the families of the martyr. The families are integral part of the police family. The department is committed to provide facilities and support to the families of the martyr according to the rules.

From 1947 to August 31, 2018, 916 police officers / employees of MP Police have lost their lives. Throughout the country from September 1, 2017 to August 31, 2018, 412 police officers / employees were martyred, including six from Madhya Pradesh. The martyred policemen were ASI Amrit Lal Bhilala, ASI Devchand Naagle, HCM Indrapal Singh Sengar, HCM Arvind Kumar Sen, constable Raj Bahadur Yadav and Constable Balmukund Prajapati.

In the parade District Force, Government Railway Police Platoon (Women), Special Armed Forces, District Force / Government Railway Police Platoon (Male), Nagar Sena Platoon, Color Party, Police Band Platoon and Dog Sqaud participated.
