Pratibha Parva begins from today in Govt's primary, secondary schools

Pratibha Parva is being organized in the state government's primary and secondary schools from December 13, to assess the skills of the students in the direction of quality education and to further strengthen academic corrective efforts. On the first two days of the 3-day event, academic evaluation of students will be conducted.

On the third and final day on December 15, special Bal Sabha will be organized in the presence of parents and guardians in the form of the school's Annual Day.

Cultural, sports and other activities of children will be organized in the Bal Sabha. Reviewing the preparations of the event, Director Rajya Shiksha Kendra Irene Scinthia JP said that the quality of school education is our topmost priority. She appealed to all the teachers of the state that should evaluate students and their school fearlessly.

Pratibha Parva is an important programme of the School Education Department to improve quality of elementary education. The Pratibha Parva will begin simultaneously in 1,14,609 primary and secondary schools of the state. More than 70.20 lakh children studying in Class 1 to 8 will take part in the Pratibha Parva. Academic shortcomings are identified on the basis of the analysis of the results during the Pratibha Parva and efforts are made to improve them.

Quality will be assessed by the teachers at the school level in Pratibha Parva. The assessments made by the schools will be verified by the Verification Officer appointed by the District Collector after discussion with the children and members of the School Management Committee and after observing the various records available in the school. On this basis of the school's academic upgradation plan, points will be noted in the inspection register.

Sudden inspection will be conducted in schools by District Officers-in-charge at state level during the Pratibha Parva. As per the National Achievement Survey, an OMR sheet will be prepared in view of the child-wise achievement and data analysis in subjects including Hindi, Mathematics, Environmental Studies, Science and Social Science in Class-3, 5, 8 in selected sample schools.
