Chairman of Congress party’s State Election Manifesto Committee TS Singhdeo on Monday said that the party’s commitment to enforce Prohibition in State if it comes to power is being included in the poll manifesto.
On the lines of Barack Obama’s Health Care Programme in United States, in Chhattisgarh too Universal Health Care Programme would be conducted if Congress party comes to power, he declared.
Apart from that, Public Distribution System in Chhattisgarh would also be made universal and clause of being Below Poverty Line (BPL) would be removed from both of them, he said.
Singhdeo was addressing the mediapersons here at the Press Club to garner views of journalists about the issues which could to be included in poll manifesto of Congress.
He said the Congress party will take back the decision taken by Bharatiya Janata Party Government on private sector participation in the fields of Education and Health.
The party will also take back the orders of privatisation of Government Model Schools, Singhdeo said.
The Congress leader said recommendations of Majithia Commission would be implemented and Journalist Security Act would be enforced in State if Congress party comes to power after the elections.
