Monday, 24 September 2018 | PNS | Chandigarh

To familiarise entrepreneurs and investors keen in making investments besides assisting new and existing industries in availing various regulatory and fiscal incentives online, the Punjab Infotech, in sync with Industries and Commerce Department, has launched a three-week  ‘Certificate Course in Business First Portal’.

The Business First Portal is designed to provide services to both existing as well as new industries. The portal shall provide online facility for availing various fiscal incentives and centralized inspection mechanism.

Business First would provide a common platform, driven by robust IT infrastructure and services, for all regulatory services and fiscal and non-fiscal incentives being delivered to the businesses throughout their lifecycle.

Punjab Infotech managing director Rajat Aggarwal on Sunday said that to avail online services through Business First Portal, three-weeks ‘certificate course in business first portal’ has been initially introduced at selected CAL-C Centres located in Punjab to create a panel of ‘business facilitators’.

To attract more number of facilitators, the Department has extended the last date of application till September 30, 2018, for admission in the certificate course.

The trained business facilitators would assist existing as well as new industries or investors to avail various online services across the state, said Aggarwal adding that the services of these business facilitators would be available throughout the state.

The first batch to train the aspirant business facilitators has already been commenced at three locations — Moga, Ludhiana and Sri Muktsar Sahib — from September 11, said Aggarwal adding that more information regarding list of authorized CAL-C Centres can be viewed through Department’s official website — www. Punjabinfotech.in.

Notably, the Punjab Government in its endeavour to boost industrialization in the State has already unveiled its Industrial and Business Development Policy-2017. As a sequel to it, Punjab has taken several investor-friendly initiatives for ensuring ease of doing business in the State to the next level by replacing multiple electronic interfaces by various regulatory department and agencies providing services to the industries through their lifecycle by setting up a unified Business First portal.
