RaGa to kick start election campaign in State today

All India Congress Committee (AICC) Chief Rahul Gandhi would be on a one-day tour to the state on Monday. He will kick start the election campaign in poll bound state here with addressing a Farmer’s Rally at Science College ground of the capital on Monday afternoon.

Official sources in Congress informed that the AICC Chief would arrive at 2 p.m. on Monday and would address a farmers rally in the science college ground. Later in the evening he will have meetings with the representatives of the organization before leaving for national capital by regular flight at 7.40 pm in the evening. 

Congress on Sunday geared up for preparations for the AICC Chief’s visit and a series of meetings were held here at state capital by senior leaders of the party.

The veteran Congress leader and AICC General Secretary (Administration), Motilal Vora, Member of Parliament (MP) and Chairman OBC Wing of the AICC, Tamradhwaj Sahu, Secretaries In charge for the state Chandan Yadav and Arun Uraon themselves were present in the meeting held for preparation of the AICC Chief’s visit.

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Bhupesh Baghel took meetings at Durg and Bhilai and reviewed the preparations there for the farmer’s rally.

On the other hand Leader of Opposition, TS Singhdeo, former Union Minister Charandas Mahant, former CGPCC Chief Dhanendra Sahu, former Leader of Opposition Ravindra Chaubey and former ministers Satyanarayan Sharma and Md Akbar also actively reviewed the preparation in capital for making the event a grand show.
