AICC President Rahul Gandhi would be visiting Chhattisgarh on November 9 and 10 to campaign for the first phase of polls in the State scheduled in insurgency-hit Bastar and Rajnandgaon regions.
Addressing media persons here at Rajiv Bhawan, AICC In-charge for Chhattisgarh, P.L. Punia and Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee (CGPCC) Chief Bhupesh Baghel informed that during his tour Gandhi would address around half a dozen public meetings in various constituencies of Bastar and Rajnandgaon.
He would also take out a road show in Rajnandgaon district headquarters while campaigning for the niece of Late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Karuna Shukla who had been fielded against Chief Minister Raman Singh at his home turf.
Sharing the information about AICC Chief’s tour, the Congress leaders told media persons that he would address public meetings in Pakhanjur in Bastar and Dongargarh in Rajnandgaon on November 9 along with taking out a road show in Rajnandgaon district headquarters in the evening hours.
He will take night halt in Rajnandgaon that day, they informed.
On the second day of the tour right before the poll campaign takes to a halt he would address public meetings in Charama, Kondagaon and district headquarters Jagdalpur on November 10, they added.
