Ranchi Police arrest 3 extremists

Ranchi police have busted a Tritya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC) gang with the arrest of three area commanders and one active member from the Chanho police station area.

Police have seized large quantity of arms and ammunition including an AK -47 rifle,  three SLR rifles, a UBGL rifle and a pistol apart from nine grenades, around 1600 cartridges, magazines, camouflage dresses, folding gates, naxal literatures and bags from them.

The arrested area commanders are  Kamlesh Ganjhu, Avinash Ji alias Aditya Ganjhu and Jagdish Ganjhu. Binod Kumar Mahto is the other extremist nabbed in the operation. "A squad of the TSPC has been neutralised with the arrest of the four extremists. Police are, however, carrying out raids to arrest another extremist called Pathhar in this regard",  informed Ranchi SSP Anish Gupta.  A special team led by Khelari DSP Purushottam Kumar Singh carried out a raidon the basis of a report.
