The Jharkhand Ophthalmological Society is organizing its 16th State annual conference from December 7 to 9 at Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi. Renowned ophthalmic surgeons and eye specialists from all over the country would be attending the three-day Jharkhand Ophthalmic Conference in Ranchi.
Padma Shri recipient Dr S Natrajan, president elect, All India Ophthalmological Society, New Delhi, known for his nationwide diabetic retinopathy prevention movement will be present at the Jharkhand Ophthalmological Society conference. The three day Conference, which will include guest lecturers from renowned faculty, paper presentation, symposia, discussion on Glaucoma and Retinal problems, problems related to Diabetes, Eye Banking, ROP and new updates in treatment of various eye ailments, Treatment Controversies in ophthalmology, Video assisted skill transfer session, competitive video session, will be a great learning experience for ophthalmic doctors and surgeons and the entire medical fraternity.
Conference will start on December 7 from 4.30pm to 7.30pm, on December 8 from 9.00 am to 5.30 pm and will continue on December 9 till 1 pm. Health Minister of Jharkhand Ramchandra Chandravanshi and Chief Secretary of Jharkhand Sudhir Tripathi have given their consent to be the chief guest and Guest of Honour for the inaugural ceremony.
The inaugural function of the conference has been slated for December 8 at 5:30 PM at Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium, Khelgaon, Ranchi.
