The State’s biggest Urban Local Body (ULB)–Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) on Wednesday entered into its 41st year. Amid challenges, on the role of the Municipal Corporation because of the urban growth and expansion with the changing time, former Chief Minister, Arjun Munda while addressing the officials, Board members of RMC including the staff said that with the support of citizens, the Civic Body must try to execute the plans in a stimulated time for uniform growth.
During his address, the Former CM said that all need to understand their surroundings. “Public facilities given by every municipal corporation can be implemented well, if both elected representatives including city residents develop an understanding of keeping their localities clean and participate in policy making,” Munda further added. Talking about the challenges, he stated that the Corporation must resolve the problem of water logging. The programme was attended by Mayor Asha Lakra, Hatia MLA Navin Jaiswal, Municipal Commissioner Manoj Kumar and other senior officials.
