Roorkee lady wins talent award

Mother of two and an entrepreneur by profession, Garima Chadha won Mrs Doon Diva talent award 2018 held recently in Dehradun. Indian actress and model who was semi finalist in Femina Miss India 2004, Mughda Godse presented the award to her.

In the grand finale round, Garima mesmerised the audience with her brush strokes in 20 minutes painting a girl child in the backdrop of modern city skyscrapers. Her theme of painting was beti bachao beti padhao. Speaking to The Pioneer, Garima said that her one wish to make girls from economically weaker section of society to make their own living by handicrafts was becoming a reality. She said she was feeling elated that her god gifted talent had won her appreciation.

Notably, Garima had trained hundreds of poor girls in making hand made paper jewellery and house decor.
