Koderma MP Ravindra Kumar Roy has filed a defamation petition worth Rs 10 crore against Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (Prajatantrik) supremo Babulal Marandi. The petition was filed before Sub-judge-I in the Ranchi civil court. The Koderma MP has claimed that Marandi has tarnished his political image by using a fake letter. It may be mentioned here that on July 17 Roy had served a legal notice to Marandi asking him to apologize for the letter submitted by the latter to Governor alleging that money was used during ‘defection’ of six JVM (P) MLAs to BJP. The Koderma MP had claimed that Marandi used a fake letter pad containing his name in a bid to establish the contention of sale and purchase of MLAs.
