RSS mobilises people for dharma sabha

Monday, 19 November 2018 | PNS | Lucknow

With the aim to garner support for construction of Ram temple, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh took out motorcycle rallies in the state capital and its surrounding areas, asking people to attend the proposed 'dharma sabha' to be held in Ayodhya on November 25.

The motorcycle rallies were taken out from 40 places and later they all joined for a huge rally.

Chanting slogans of Jai Sri Ram, the bikers, all wearing saffron bandanna, passed through the main city roads.

Convenor of the Chalo Ayodhya Campaign, Devesh Awasthi, said that the youths participating in the motorcycle rally, urged the people to gather at Ayodhya on November 25 in large numbers so that the government was forced to bring a legislation in favour of construction of Ram temple.

"There were around 40 small rallies which met at a point from where four big rallies were taken out to the four corners of the city. At some places even the common man joined us rally for a short distance," Awasthi said.

He said the rally in south Lucknow started from Alambagh and after passing through Mawaiyya, Charbagh, culminated at Hazratganj.

Addressing the participants of the rally at GPO park in Hazratganj, Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Anurag Srivastava said the Indian courts had no respect for Hindus.

"Judges can hold court at midnight to release terrorists but they have no time to decide the Ram temple case," he said.

In Lucknow west, the rally started from Rajajipuram and after travelling through PMT ground, tempo stand, Campwell road, it culminated at Dubagga.

The rally in Lucknow north started from Ram Ram Bank and culminated at Engineering College ground while in Lucknow east, the rally started from 1090 crossing and culminated at BBD crossing.
