The election schedule of the much awaited third students’ union poll (2018-19) for electing the office-bearers of the Ranchi University Students Union (RUSU) through direct and indirect method was released by RU VC Dr RK Pandey on Monday.

As per the election schedule for ‘Indirect Election’,  the process for publication of final electoral at the university level, date of filing the nominations, scrutiny, withdrawal of nominations, publication of list of final contestants including end of campaign will be accomplished between December 6 to December 11.

The university level election which will be carried out through indirect method is scheduled on December 13 at Multipurpose Examination Hall (MPEH) followed by counting and oath taking ceremony.

Meanwhile, according to the election schedule for electing the office-bearers of the student union election (2018-19) in the university departments, colleges and institutes under RU through ‘Direct Method’, the process for publication of final electoral at the university level, date of filing the nominations, scrutiny, withdrawal of nominations, publication of list of final contestants including end of campaign will be completed between November 26 to December 1.

Direct Election will be held at the respective places on December 3 from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM. Counting of votes, declaration of results including the oath ceremony will be conducted on December 4. Submission/ intimation of complete list of the elected members to the office of Dean Students Welfare (DSW) must be done on December 5 by the colleges that followed direct election methodology.
