Former MP Ranchi Subodh Kant Sahay quite belatedly but at politically correct time said here today that tribal’s pathalgadi be seen as their anger and frustration as this population feels cheated and thrown out in the present dispensation here in the state. “ Yeh pathalgari adivasi ka gussa hai (Patthalgadi is anger of tribals) and no one should ignore or misread it,” he said.
Sahay was here holding a press conference in the old circuit house. What he aired his views on pathalgari of advisais Sahay too came in defense of Shashi Tharoor when a newsman asked him as to whether he stands by his comments or maintains a distance from Tharoor who courts a controversy on a mere drop of hat to which Sahay said, “Tharoor talks sense. There is reasoning in his comments. I defend him. He exercises his right to speak.”
On the issue of urban naxalism that BJP is so trumpeting and trying to corner Congress charging it with going soft on urban naxalism Sahay said, “Is there any political party in the country, which has lost a fleet of 23 leaders of one party alone in a huge naxal attack just in few seconds as Congress had suffered in Chhatisgarh? Has any political leader any morale to fling accusations against Congress?”
“I view that Modi ji has developed this coinage to further distract the attention of the countrymen from real issues” he said.
“Has naxalism gone any down in Chhatisgarh? Here BJP ruled for 15 years without any break. More and more new areas of this state are falling in the line of extremism. The BJP’s claim on naxalism is far from reality” Sahay reiterated.
On Chhatisgarh poll he said our speech master PM Modi ji just held one political meeting in the first phase of the election there which is reflective of the situation that this BJP is battling now for its existence in those states where it ruled for more than a decade and now faces hardships to reach out to common people there. On Telangana issue he said our Chandra Babu Naidu has taken the most judicious decision to come with the Congress and in times to come there there will emerge greater united fight to BJP there.
