Skilled Jharkhand can meet global human resources demand: CM

Batting strongly for developing a talent pool in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that youths of the State can meet the demand of skilled manpower required world over. The CM was in Dubai to promote Skill Summit slated to take place next month in Ranchi.

“Skilling Jharkhand in present perspective is akin to fulfilling the need of skilled manpower of the entire world. We in the State are working as per the dreams of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, that is to transform youths into skilled human resource, and have also gone for building a new Jharkhand where imparting technical training besides degrees is our top priority,” said the CM during the road show organised at Creek Heights of Dubai on Sunday.

The CM on the occasion also underlined the huge demand of workforce in the Middle East and other Gulf countries while admitting that the youths back home should be trained as per the requirements in these countries. He also lauded the progress made by the State in terms of business sectors and agriculture.

“Jharkhand is one of the fastest growing States of the country which has recorded higher growth rate than Gujarat. Farm sector has also seen a quantum jump. We have the best labour and industrial policy and our State is among the top four-five States in the ‘Ease of Doing Business’ standards,” added the CM.

Indian Ambassador to the UAE Navdeep Suri was also present on the occasion who said that India is the third largest business partner country after China and the USA in the region. “The relation between the two countries has seen a new height after Narendra Modi becoming Prime Minister. Efforts of Jharkhand Government in this direction are praiseworthy. UAE can play a big role on building a skilled Jharkhand,” he said.

Also present there was Development Commissioner DK Tiwari along with Principal Secretary to the CM Sunil Kumar Barnwal and Secretary of Higher and Technical Education and Skill Development Rajesh Kumar Sharma and other officials of the State Government.

The delegation accompanying the Chief Minister held series of interactions with various companies working in the field of skill development and others who were invited to attend the summit.
