The rhythms of the noted music composer and singer of Bollywood Mukesh mesmerized the Bhopalites in a musical night. The concert, ‘Soulful Mukesh Musical Eve’ was organised here on Monday at State Museum.
The musical evening was organised by Jan Parishad Organisation, Bhopal. The concert was organized to give a tribute to Mukesh for his musical contribution in the industry on his 42nd death anniversary. It was a treat for the music lovers of the city to listen to the old songs of Mukesh once again live on stage. The programme began with lighting of the lamp and then Ganesh Vandana and Saraswati Vandana was performed.
The singers gave a splendid performance at the programme. As the singers presented the old songs of Mukesh, the adherent fans of Mukesh loved every biit of it remembering the soulful songs of his. The singers were accompanied by live musical orchestra that made the performance even more zestful. Also songs of other singers were also performed keeping in view the appreciation by the audience. As many as 20 songs composed by Mukesh were presented during the night. The programme featured the classics like ‘Main Pal Do Pal Ka Shayar Hoon’, ‘Tum Bin Jeevan’, ‘Mehboob Mere’, ‘Kya Khoob lagti Ho’ and more.
Notably, Mukesh was one of the best singers of his times. He was awarded for his songs in movie like Rajnigandha, Kabhie Kabhie, Andaaz, Mela and many more.
