State’s dev in past 15 yrs had been quicker: Raman

The pace of development in Chhattisgarh which has occurred during last 15 years is quicker than what took place since country’s Independence. It was made possible due to late Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s efforts who had formed the state said Chief Minister Raman Singh on Tuesday.

Recalling the late Prime Minister’s contribution, the ‘Atal Vikas Yatra’ is being taken out, the Chief Minister said.

Singh was addressing a public meeting at Kota in Bilaspur district on Tuesday.

“Today a poor person is having permanent house, getting rice at Re 1 per kilogram, each person is having health insurance of Rs 50,000 while 50 lakh women and college students are being provided smartphone. These are not just schemes but changing lives of people”’ Singh said.

Now, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership each poor family would get permanent house by 2022, Rs 5 lakh of health insurance, crop insurance scheme with other additional benefits for farmers, the benefits of which are being derived by village, poor, farmers and workers, including other categories, he said.

“Now for fulfilling the dream of Atalji, for making of ‘Nava Chhattisgarh’ by 2025, ‘Atal Drishti Patra’ is being made,” he said. Singh also announced the opening of post graduate classes of Science and Commerce faculty at Kota College and new building for the Girls College.

He also dedicated and laid foundation stone for Rs 130 crore worth 35 different developmental works in Kota and  also launched the ‘Signature Campaign’ under ‘Swachhta hi Sewa’ movement which commenced from September 16 and continue till October 2.

Chief Minister later dedicated, laid foundation stones and performed ‘bhoomi pujan’ of 44 developmental works worth Rs 130.89 crore  .

He also distributed relief materials and cheques to 587 beneficiaries of various social welfare schemes of the State Government.

Singh dedicated 25 developmental works worth Rs 111.34 crore. These include- Rs 76.57 crore for road linking Sakri-Ganiyari-Kota (22 km), Rs 11.72 crore for  Baansajhal diversion canal, Rs 11.58 crore for Kota-Belgahana road (5 km), Rs 1.70 crore for electric sub-station  at Ratanpur and also Rs 1.55 crore for electric sub-station at CV Raman Kota.

Singh laid the foundation stones of ten developmental works worth Rs 19.55 crore.

He distributed domestic gas connections under the Prime Minister Újjwala’ project  to many beneficiaries, bonus to Tebdu-patta collectors, sanction letters of Prime Minister Housing project, Solar pumps to farmers and tiffin carriers to citizens.
