Students attend Int’l Science Fest in Lucknow

Five students from villages in Rajnandgaon and Kabeerdham districts with their teachers participated in the India International Science Festival organised at National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI), Lucknow in first week of October.

President of India Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the event. UP Governor Ram Naik, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other dignitaries were present.

Around 2,500 children from across the country hailing from Prime Minister and Member of Parliament Model Villages participated in the event.

After return from the event, student Ashok Sahu said for first time, he had participated in such a big event. Ghanshyam Patel has travelled in train for first time in life, so he enjoyed the trip.

Devendra Sahu said it provided a chance to meet people from other parts of country and understand culture and dressing pattern. Dani Patel said they could learn from the event while Dikeshwar Patel said he could meet President Ram Nath Kovind and other dignitaries.

Children jointly said they heard lectures of scientists and also witnessed the exhibition. They all thanked the Rajnandgaon MP Abhishek Singh for the initiative, as it was due to him; they could participate in the event.

Teacher Sujeet Gupta also said that even after being a teacher there were many things which he even did not know .

Gupta also came to know about the different works being undertaken in the country and research being undertaken by scientists of the country.

Suggestions were also taken from children on how their village should be, cultural events, poster competition among others were also held.
