Suvichar suggests measures for tackling key issues

Suvichar, a Chandigarh-based Think Tank, on Monday announced a series of measures to bring about change in traffic mechanism of Indian cities.

Taking a 360 degree view of problems ailing our cities, prominent members of the think tank came together to release its annual report, which makes a mention of several remedial measures which needs to be taken for a better city.

Expressing concern over increasing number of road accident in Chandigarh, the members suggested challans for traffic violations on the spot on the basis of CCTV cameras, besides also suggesting raising the amount of fine for violations.

It was also suggested to create awareness among public to send information about violators through Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, besides making seat belts mandatory for those sitting on rear seat as well.
