Swiss woman held for carrying illegal satellite phone at IGI airport

A Swiss woman has been apprehended by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) at the IGI Airport here for allegedly carrying a satellite phone illegally in her luggage, a senior official said Monday. I Emmenegger, a native of Switzerland, was apprehended after the phone was detected in her baggage on Sunday, he said.

The woman, who works as a tour operator, was travelling to Kathmandu from here. She was handed over to the Delhi Police as carrying a satellite phone is banned under law, the official said.
