Temp level to remain constant for next 2-3 days

Tuesday, 13 November 2018 | PNS | Ranchi

The sudden dip in mercury level being observed ever since the end of ‘Diwali’ will not create any inconvenience for the city residents during the Chhath Puja. The weathermen have opined that the temperature level will remain constant for next two-three days.

“Since it is the onset of winter season, the temperature will gradually fall. For next two to three days not much variation will be seen in temperature level. The mercury level is expected to remain somewhere between 11 degree Celsius to 13 degree Celsius,” said Senior Scientist, MET Observatory Centre – Ranchi, RS Sharma.

Also, the weather expert said that Cyclone ‘Gaja’ will have no adverse impact over Jharkhand. Notably, the weather bulletin released by MET Observatory Centre, Ranchi on Sunday suggested that the deep depression over Southeast and adjoining central Bay of Bengal has moved west-northwestern wards with a speed of 12 kmph and has intensified into a cyclonic storm ‘Gaja’. The cyclone will bring downpour to a few regions.

“The Cyclone ‘Gaja’ will impact over Tamil-Nadu, South Andhra and Kerala. The southern States will receive rainfall at many places with heavy falls at isolated places. The rainfall will lash Andaman and Nicobar islands on November 11 while other listed States will receive rainfall from November 14,” Sharma added.
