Leader of Opposition in Chhattisgarh State Assembly and senior Congress leader TS Singhdeo filed his nomination papers for contesting the assembly polls from Ambikapur Assembly constituency on Wednesday.
Singhdeo chose his birthday for filing the nomination.
MLA Amarjeet Bhagat and a few others who were also Congress candidates from the district also accompanied him and they too filed nominations on Wednesday along with him.
Singhdeo marched with a huge gathering to the District Collectorate where nominations were to be filed.
Thousands of supporters followed him in the march.
Similarly, Congress candidate from Kawardha, Mohammed Akbar too filed his nomination papers in Kabeerdham District Collectorate on Wednesday.
While filing the nominations, he claimed that he is definitely going to register victory this time from the constituency.
