Rs 1.20 lakh looted; miscreants not nabbed
Within three days, two loot incidents occurred in Balanga police limits where the miscreants have decamped with Rs 1.20 lakh at gun point. According to sources, on Saturday 2, employees of a medicine distribution company of Telenga Bazar, Cuttack had collected Rs 50,000 at Khelar Bazar. Miscreants intercepted Rakesh Barik and Aurobind Gochhi’s Tata Pick-up Van at Kuanarpur Kateni Padia.
They came in two black Bajaj Pulsar bikes and terrorised the staffers and snatched away the cash bag before fleeing the spot. Getting information from Barik and Gochhi, medicine distributor Aditya Kumar Sahoo informed the Balanga police. The police rushed to the spot and started an investigation. Notably, two days ago, a micro finance company agent was looted of Rs 70,000 in similar fashion at Biratsahi. However, the police have not yet got any clue in the two incidents.
