Sunday, 23 September 2018 | PNS | Dehradun

Amid the ongoing furore on the pathetic condition of health services in the State, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh inaugurated e-Health Service Dashboard at his residence on Saturday. The new initiative is aimed at completing digitisation and ensuring transparency and speed in the health services in the State. Speaking on the occasion, Rawat said that the State Government is taking the help of Information Technology (IT) to provide good health services in the remote areas of the State.

CM claimed that his Government has made sincere efforts to bring transparency, discipline and commitment to duty in the health services. “As part of the endeavour to ensure better health services, new doctors have been recruited for the remote areas. Besides, with the same end in view, telemedicine facility has been launched,” he said.

CM further said that efforts are being made to create a good environment in the hospitals. “We are also ensuring adequate availability of doctors and nurses in the hospitals,” he said and added that behaviour of the doctors is important in creating a good environment in the health facilities.

Dwelling on the advantages of the e-health service dashboard, he said that it would not just bring transparency in the hospitals and the health services but it would also be helpful in administrative and management works. “Moreover, it would also provide figures to the doctors engaged in research works,” CM said.

In the dashboard, the patients would be able to do online registration for any hospital through e-slip. It will also have information pertaining to the availability of blood, medicines and doctors in different hospitals, number of patients and other important information with a click of the mouse, the health officers claimed and added that it would also enable the CM, the state administration and the health directorate officers to constantly monitor the hospitals located across the state.

Among those present during the launch were the secretary, medical health Nitesh Jha, project director of Uttarakhand Health System Development Project Yugal Kishore Pant and additional project director Dr Prem Lal.
