Dismayed at wrong economic burdens being levied on the common man in Punjab on one pretext or the other that State exchequer’s financial condition is in dire straits, SAD senior leader Upinderjit Kaur on Sunday said that the Finance Minister Manpreet Badal has no business to fool the people of the state.
Breaking her silence after the Congress regime came into power, the former Finance Minister alleged that Manpreet is programmed to be “anti-poor”.
“He projects an image which is totally contrary to his political leanings. Even when in SAD, he, as a Finance Minister, always tried to scuttle social welfare schemes and pro-poor policies. He is the biggest advocate to do away with subsidies,” she said.
Lashing out at Manpreet, Kaur alleged that it was unfortunate that the festive season is around the corner and the state employees are not being paid their salaries.
