Valuables worth Rs 75,000 were burgled from a house in Bokasi village under Nazeerabad police station area on Monday.

Police said that the victim Badri Giri and his family members have gone for work and when they returned the lock of the main door was found broken and valuables were found burgled.

A complaint was lodged with the Nazeerabad police stating that they have had gone on work and on return they found that the lock was found broken and on entering the house valuables were found missing.

The almirah having the valuables was targeted while other valuables were not disturbed.

In the burglary around Rs 30000 cash and gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 45000 were burgled. 

Based on the complaint after the preliminary investigation the police have registered a case under section 457 and 380 of the IPC and have started further investigation.

Meanwhile, Ashoka Garden police arrested 5 persons on the charge of gambling and recovered Rs 15000 cash, playing cards from Azad Nagar on Monday.

Police received information that gamblers are gambling and based on the information the place was raided where 5 persons were found gambling.

Police said that the in the raid the gamblers were found gambling in a room and in the raid around Rs 15000 cash was recovered from their possession.

The gamblers were identified as Rakesh Singh, Bobby Sharma, Chandraprakash, Rajesh and Surendra. A case under section 13 of the Gambling Act was registered against the nabbed accused and started further investigation.
