A woman was allegedly gangraped in a moving car on Monday evening on the pretext of  providing her a job by two persons. The victim reportedly lodged a police complaint on Tuesday and a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged by the city police.

According to police, the victim was a resident of  Uttam Nagar in Delhi.

The woman alleged in her complaint that she was looking for a job for quite some time.

In the meantime, she came into contact with one of the accused persons identified as Ramesh over phone. He assured her a job with a handsome salary in Gurugram and asked her to meet him.

"The victim reached Gurugram on Monday and the accused picked her up from  Huda City Metro Station. He told the woman that he has fixed her meeting with his boss and roamed around with her throughout the day," Shakuntala Yadav, Assistant Commissioner of police (women's crime) said.

"At around 5 pm they reached Manesar where his so-called boss and the second accused identified as Rakesh met the woman. They dragged the woman inside the car and took turns to rape her at a secluded place."

Later they threatened the victim with dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone. Somehow, the woman managed to escape and told her family members about the sexual assault and they took her to the police the next day.

"A case has been registered against the accused at women's police station at Manesar. The probe into the matter is underway and hunts are on to nab the culprits. They would be nabbed soon," a police spokesperson said.
