A workshop on “Soft Skills and Cyber Crime” was held by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Khariar Autonomous College at Khariar on Tuesday, where the students of the autonomous college and the Khariar Junior College were present.
The objective of including the subject of soft skills is to enhance communication abilities, language skills, personal habits, cognitive or emotional empathy, time management, teamwork and leadership traits of our students, which will help in their carrier development.
The subject of cyber crime was also included, keeping in mind the growing rate of cyber crimes these days to develop awareness among students so that they always remain alert while using cyber-related technology and social media," said the college authorities.
The workshop had been divided into two technical sessions. The first session was on soft skills.
The soft skills experts, who addressed the session, were Jatadhari Khamari Sharma, a software engineer, and Gulsan Rohila, Employment Exchange Officer, Sambalpur. The second session was addressed by two articulate faces of Khariar, Sadanand Pujari, IIC Khariar police station, and Karunakara Kumura, Chief Manager of Khariar SBI, who spoke eloquently on cyber crime.
Other speakers on this occasion were Dr Harendra Panda, Principal; C Chandrakar, Lecturer in Physics and coordinator of IQAC, Dr PL Barma of Department of Political Science and +2 in charge of Khariar Junior College.
