A 23-year-old woman was allegedly raped on the pretext of providing with a job. The accused was identified as Atul Gupta and an FIR has been registered at Saket police station, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Vijay Kumar revealed.
“On September 7, a call was received that a woman was raped in Sangam Vihar. The complainant alleged that she was in contact with the accused Atul Gupta, who told her that he would provide her a job. The accused asked her to meet him on September 2. He then offered her a, allegedly, spiked drink and took her to Hauz Khaz where he forced himself on her,” DCP added.
“She was taken for a medical check-up in AIIMS and a case under sections 376/328 was registered. During investigation CCTV footages were collected which created doubt on veracity of the allegations. Further investigation is on,” he said.
