Horoscope is energy-map of heaven

Picking up threads from the previous issue, as I began explaining as to how astrological tools are applied in practical terms, a question was posed by audience: “How can physical objects such as planets and stars doing their rounds in the cosmos, at such a great distance from us, affect us? And how scientific is the methodology?”

Well, you need to first understand that planets and stars are not to be taken just as physical objects moving in the cosmos, as they are mistakenly understood.  They, in fact are pointers to energy streams playing through nature from the front, each reflecting specific characteristic features. It is difficult to take into account innumerable energy streams playing through the cosmos. So, to have a generalised view, the energy providers have been grouped into zodiac signs and planets, to serve as mile posts.  In this scheme of things, every zodiac sign reflects upon energies extended by a cluster of stars in the backdrop of sky divided into 12 belts, each reflecting specific characteristic features. Planets represent energy streams excited by them as well as those passing in close proximity, again each carrying specific characteristic features. The two read together make out a graphical reflection of the energy map of the heaven at the time of one’s birth.

To figure out the rationale underlying this discipline, a look into genesis of creation becomes imperative. Bear in mind; creation chain took off with energy streams excited with a roaring sound by the Primal-Source, following ‘Entropy’ — a self-excited disorder. Science terms this as Big-Bang event, which is phrased as Pranava in Ancient Indian philosophy.  Following a progressive course of evolution through play and interplay of nature driven energies, the manifest plural world with name and form came into being.  And we all know that energy and matter are interconvertible. So, in a way all form existences are raised on an energy platform, all primarily sourced to nature.  Here again, going by the scientific concept of “The theory of non-location”, all energy particles rooted to the same source, are in intimate and immediate connect with the rest. And all energies playing through nature are sourced to a singularity (Primal-Source). So, there remains correspondence and interrelation between all existences on earth and energies playing through nature.

Modern science and Ancient Indian Philosophy agree on another count also.  That the whole universe is a unified unitary organism, where no existence has a reality independent of the entirety, which includes the observer. In this scheme of things all existences are necessarily set into and interdependent mechanism.  Each existence though forming parts, but all put together make out a self-sufficient whole. It thus implies that any change in the cosmic energy pattern, varying widely every moment, has to have related bearing on life cycle on earth. Here again, energies available from every source is received at a corresponding point in the brain, with a sub-influence on the related region. And every point of the brain administers set function of the body, mind, and psyche. Based on experience gained through long drawn observation of the correlation between planetary bodies in motion and our life-trends, every planet and zodiacal sign has been assigned specific signification.

Immediately shot up another question from the audience: “Planets move in a cyclic order, whereas run of life is perceived in linear time frame.  How do you reconcile the two?”

Well, energy particles have a three-dimensional existence. It simultaneously vibrates, rotates, and also keeps marching ahead. So do planetary bodies. Besides its vibratory and cyclic motions, if the Sun rises at a particular point of the zodiac today, it will appear almost four minutes earlier on that very location the very next day. It, thus exhibits a linear motion as well. Taking note of this existential reality, Ancient India’s learned masters, conceived both the macro and micro units of time in relative frame. It will be interesting to note here that Ancient India’s learned masters had understood much before the modern science that time scales applicable on different dimensions of existence would vary, as does a story in the Indian epic Mahabharata mean. Accordingly, all units of time are primarily scaled in correspondence with period motion of the Sun and Moon, the front players in the immediate galaxy. Both of them can be easily tracked down with precision on a day-to-day basis. So, even time, in Indian Astrology’s scheme of things, resonates a three-dimensional character, worth being reconciled with the run of life perceived in linear scale. The issue continues…
