Karanvir brings back Kasauti...

Actors and love couples Karanvir Bohra-Teejay, and Jay Bhanushali-Mahi Vij unveiled the statue of love in different cities of India, promoting director-producer Ekta Kapoor’s remake Kasauti Zindagi Kay. Karanvir, who was also a part of the original show in 2001, was excited to be associated with the show once again. He said, “I didn’t watch many of the show episodes while shooting, but I knew that the love story of Anurag and Prerna was something that was liked by everyone. Kasauti... was a saga. People should really watch this recreated love story of Prerna and Anurag, which doesn’t deserve to be missed.” Over 10 23-feet tall statues of love were unveiled in different Indian cities on Monday.

‘It (the film, Karenjit Kaur - The Untold Story of Sunny Leone) was very hard and emotional journey for me. But I am happy that I got to tell the truth, no matter how difficult it was for me. The way the dialogues and the scenes were written, it automatically took me back in time.’

Producer Siddharth Roy Kapur will bring the journey of India’s “Ballet Boys” to screen with a film to be written and directed by Sooni Taraporevala. The story is about two Mumbai slum boys, Amiruddin Shah and Manish Chauhan, their mentor Yehuda Maor and their families. Said Kapur, “I am very excited about bringing this inspiring story to the screen. I’ve always admired Sooni’s writing, I’m thrilled to work with her.”

Redford not retiring yet

Actor-director Robert Redford may have said he was retiring after The Old Man and the Gun but he isn’t sure right now. “I don't know if the film is the last one,” he said. Last month, he said, “I really do feel that it's time for me to move into retirement. I've been doing this since I was 21. I've put my soul and heart into it for years. I thought, ‘That's enough. Why don't you quit while you're a little bit ahead? Don't wait for the bell to toll. Just get out'. So I felt my time had come and I couldn't think of a better project to go out on than this film.”
