‘Award validates my choices’

Actress Anushka Sharma who has received the Smita Patil award for best actor, said it validates the choices that she has made so far in her career.

“It’s a special day for me because I completed 10 years in the industry. So receiving this award validates the choices that I made in my career. I didn’t have anyone to guide me in my journey. Even my parents don’t belong to this industry so they also don’t know how the industry works,” said Anushka.

We all have imperfections and everyone’s body is built differently. I don’t ever want to give a false image of perfection. What’s wrong with being confident and loving yourself? Absolutely nothing.’

On Mahesh Bhatt’s 70th birthday on Thursday, his daughters Pooja and Alia announced that the veteran filmmaker will be directing Sadak 2, in which he will cast them. “Life has no full stops. Just when I thought it was autumn, another spring arrives out of nowhere. I feel like a volcano that is about to explode again. There is no end, there is no beginning, there is only this never-ending passionate flow of life,” Mahesh wrote on social media.

Steven’s personal automatons used

From director Steven Spielberg’s personal collection, filmmakers Jack Black and Cate Blanchett have used moving mechanical musicians along with a few musical instruments for their film, The House with the Clock in the Walls. The aim was to create a creepy, spontaneous, yet delightful sequence of the gothic children’s thriller. Jack said, “We had some amazing artistry that went into the automatons. Some of them are actual antiques.” The film, directed by Eli Roth, is slated to release in India both in English and Hindi on September 21.
